Getting Started

“I’ve read the Mission and Vision, Guiding Principles, and Leader Essentials.  I believe I meet the Qualifications for leadership and I’m ready to move forward.  How do I get started?”

That’s great!  We are excited that you want to have an impact in your sphere of influence at work.  As you prepare to move forward, here are some next steps.  These steps aren’t necessarily sequential, but you’ll need to complete all of them before you launch your group.

  1. Become an “approved leader.” Only approved leaders/groups have access to Life Lessons materials and resources.  To gain approval, download and complete the Leader application and email it to us.  You will also need to complete a phone interview. You can also begin this process by filling out the Information Request form.
  2. Build a leadership team. We strongly recommend that you gather at least a couple of like-minded individuals to own this idea with you.
  3. Seek company approval. Having company approval will give you access to on-site meeting rooms and company audio-visual equipment.
  4. Plan out your first several months. Choose your series slate, determine the meeting dates and locations, and book your room for the next six months or so.  Once you have these elements in place, you’ll be able to start communicating the details to prospective attendees.
